Situation:
A customer in Southeast Asia wanted to expand the capacity and provide redundancy to existing communication backbone in anticipation of increased bandwidth requirement. The solution would also need to support shift to IP-based transport network while optimizing and interfacing existing SDH / PDH multiplexers, routers and other equipment.
Solution:
The customer deployed Loop-O9500R-PTN, which is a cost-effective hybrid solution supporting traditional TDM (PDH/SDH) and Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) to easily interface with existing pre-dominantly TDM-based communication network. Loop-O9500R is also equipped with Ethernet ports to cater for more devices requiring IP channels.
Loop-O9500R-PTN increased the bandwidth that further enhanced the established Unified Communication System for multi-media (IP Telephony, tele-conferencing, video & data) applications that was required for substation automation.
