E1500 Inband Management of Fractional E1

This application illustrates inband management at work in a fractional E1 system using Loop-E1500-2S units together with the Loop-V4200-9 DACS (Digital Access Cross Connect).

Situation

The clients wanted to integrate different applications into a single communication link utilizing only part of the bandwidth. Furthermore, they wanted a choice of inband management protocols so that the versatility of their system would be increased.

Solution

The Loop-E1500-2S fulfilled all of the clients’ needs. Inband management protocol is flexible in that you may select one of the three available options: Frame Relay, Point to Point, and HDLC (High Level Data Link Control). The E1500-2S has E1 for the WAN side and 2 DTE interface ports. It is a CPE (customer premises equipment) product.
